Dawn Talk

As the Muslim ummah, it is an obligation to protect life from matters that can jeopardise it as protecting life is among the commandments of Allah Subhanahu Wataala. The matter was touched upon is the dawn talk during the 'Masjidku Ma'mur, Negara Berkat' programme at the Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Mosque in the capital early yesterday morning.

Among those present were Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doktor Haji Muhammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Engineer Awang Haji Suhaimi bin Haji Gafar, Minister of Development; and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications.

The talk entitled 'Life Is Not A Car Part' delivered by Awang Fariszal bin Ali, Assistant Prison Counselor, explained that obeying the traffic laws and regulations as well as being considerate to others are the characteristics of a pious driver. He explained that various tests will be faced while driving on the road. Awang Fariszal also stressed that while driving, one needs a proper and true intention, recite prayers, fill the time with zikrullah and beneficial matters, obeying laws and regulations as well as always being grateful. Also present was Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs.
