To achieve excellence, high commitment and efforts as well as determination are needed from all school's staffs and students while in order to maintain excellence is a challenge. All these need cooperation and support from all parties specifically among parents, village residents and the government and non-government agencies. The matter was voiced by Awang Aliuddin bin Haji Abdul Rahman, Acting Permanent Secretary for Core Education at the Ministry of Education at the Open Day in commemorating the 80th Anniversary of Keriam Primary School in Tutong, yesterday morning.
The Acting Permanent Secretary said in academic, the school has achieved 76 percent of A to C grades for the Primary School Assessment, PSR for the past 5 years, which has placed the school at the above percentage of the National average. Another achievement was the awarding of Princess Maha Chakri Award, PMCA in 2015 to one of the school teacher for contributing towards the National Education development and has given a significant impact to the student's learning development as well as other various academic achievements. Meanwhile, the school also active in various co-curriculum activities and has achieved success in various fields.
The function ran concurrently with the souvenirs presentation to former headmasters and first students who studied at the school.
Keriam Primary School has significantly transformed from the aspect of school building infrastructure which currently possesses an inclusive school's capital building and mini track and field in line with the school's mission which is to provide a high educational service and professional support towards the effective education.
