Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam graced the Women's Special Assembly in conjunction with the Maulidur Rasul Celebration for 1441 Hijrah. The gathering took place yesterday morning at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.
Upon arrival, Her Royal Highness was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs as Chairman of the Major Islamic Events' Executive Committee for 1441 Hijrah; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Paduka Seri Utama Dato Paduka Seri Setia Haji Awang Salim bin Haji Awang Besar, Co-Advisors of the Major Islamic Events' Executive Committee for 1441 Hijrah; Pengiran Dato Seri Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs; and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Matsatejo bin Sokiaw, Deputy Minister of Energy.

The function commenced with the reading of Surah Ar-Rum by Dayangku Nurul Sakinah Adawiyah binti Pengiran Ainol Azhar, gold medallist of the Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Perlis International Invitation Tadarus Al-Quran 2019 in Malaysia.
Dayang Doctor Noryati binti Haji Ibrahim, Acting Assistant Director of Islamic Law, Ministry of Religious Affairs as Co-Chairperson of the event's Working Committee, in her welcoming remark among others touched on this year's Maulidur Rasul celebration namely Exemplifying Prophet Muhammad Sallalhu Alaihi Wassalam's Behaviour.
A sketch performance by students of the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Girls Secondary Arabic Religious School highlighted the lessons from verses 37 to 41 of Surah Ar-Rum. The sketch among others reminded on sustenance of the Muslim ummah that has been decided by Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala, and encouraged the ummah to do good deeds such as giving alms.
Dayang Hajah Noraini binti Haji Buntar, Senior Istinbat Officer at the State Mufti Department in the special talk reminds all business owners or entrepreneurs to uphold the Islamic trade system in all daily business matters by exemplifying Rasulullah Shallallahu 'Alaihi Wassalam to earn blessings from Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala. According to Dayang Hajah Noraini, a trustworthy entrepreneur or manager who follows business ethics based on Syara' will earn a high position in the Hereafter.
Touching on usury, Dayang Hajah Noraini stressed that every Muslim should leave such matter. She said that Brunei Darussalam is fortunate for having several Islamic financial institutions that prevent the country's citizens and residents from usury.
The ceremony was further enlivened with the Dikir Marhaban and Saiyyidul Istighfar presented by officers and staff of Ministry of Religious Affairs and Ministry of Energy as well as Brunei Darussalam Women's Council members.
The Doa Selamat was recited by Datin Doctor Dayang Hajah Noor Hira binti Haji Noor Kasih, Actig Assistant Ra'es of the Seri Begawan Religious Teachers University College.
Her Majesty then took a closer look at the Women Entrepreneur Exhibition themed 'Women's Efforts in Following the Behaviour of Rasulullah Sallallahu 'Alaihi Wassalam'. 6 women entrepreneurs took part in the exhibition, which aimed to encourage woman to be more involved in entrepreneurship.
This year's gathering was the 26th edition since it was first held in 1995. The gathering was organised by the Ministry of Religious Affairs with the cooperation of the Ministry of Energy and the Brunei Darussalam Women's Council.
