Two local men were brought before the Bandar Seri Begawan Magistrate's Court on the suspicion of stealing approximately 60 mangoes in Kampung Piasan, Lamunin on the 16th and 17th of this month.
According to Inspector Awang Muhamad Zulfadli bin Haji Awang Yusof, Commanding Officer of Lamunin Police Station, the suspects, 26-year old Mohammad Khairil bin Awang Kassim and Mazlan bin Tali, aged 41 were detained based on tip offs from the public. Initial investigation revealed that both suspects took the mangoes with another man using a black Suzuki Celerio. The mangoes were then sold at Kampung Mulaut market for 76 dollars. The court approved for both suspects to be remanded until the 23rd of this month for further investigation.
