Sharing Session

A healthy and balanced diet is not just good for kid's bodies, but also for their brains. The right foods can improve brain function, memory, and concentration. This matter was explained during a sharing session to disseminate and monitor the adherence of private schools canteen operators in the country. The session jointly organised by Private Education Section and Health Promotion Centre took place this afternoon at the Ministry of Education.

It was highlighted with a briefing on the guidelines to sale and serve healthy foods and beverages at school. The briefing was delivered by Dayang Rusydiah binti Haji Sudin, Health Education Officer, Health Promotion centre. More than 30 school principals and headmaster from private schools attended the session that aimed to enhanced knowledge and awareness on healthy foods and beverages choice towards reducing the rate of non-communicable diseases. The briefing is hoped to serve as a guideline for private schools canteen operators in providing and preparing a healthy food and beverage products. Also present was Dayang Marina Chek binti Bujang, Head of Private Education Section, Ministry of Education.
