The Royal Brunei Airlines, RB has broadened its flight destinations with the addition of direct flights to Beijing, China. This is a catalytic movement that will trigger increase in travel, trade and tourism between Brunei Darussalam and the People's Republic of China that will benefit not just RB and its consumer, but the nation and its economy as a whole. This was highlighted by the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy and Chairman of RB Board of Directors during the launching ceremony of RB's direct flights to Beijing Daxing International Airport held at The Empire Hotel and Country Club in Jerudong, 26th October night.
Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah said with the existing business partnership between Brunei Darussalam and The People's Republic of China, the direct flight to Beijing makes way for further development in various fields.
The ceremony was launched by Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Ali bin Apong, Minister of Primary Resources and Tourism, Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew and Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Awang Abdul Mutalib bin Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Setia Dato Paduka Haji Mohammad Yusof, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications. RB began its direct flight services to Beijing Daxing International Airport yesterday, and plans to schedule daily flights to Beijing starting 14th January next year. Also present was Madam Ning Bo, Charge d'Affaires and Vice Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam.
