The Brunei International Flower Show, BIFS 2019 continued yesterday with various seminars and activities. A seminar on Import and Export Procedures for Plant and Product Commodities was held yesterday morning at the Horticulture Business Centre, Rimba Garden Central in Gadong.
Dayang Helwa binti Haji Mazlan, Head of Plant Biosecurity Unit, Agriculture and Agrifood Department, Ministry of Primary Resources and Tourism explained the role of the Plant Biosecurity Unit, plant and product commodity under the Agriculture and Agrifood department, pre-border biosecurity control as well as the import procedures for plants, plant products and organic fertilisers to Brunei Darussalam.
Meanwhile, various activities are also lined up, including a handicraft workshop which will be held on the 26th this month. A flower arrangement workshop as well as a floral painting on stone activity will be held on Sunday. BIFS is open to the public until this Sunday, from 8 in the morning until 9 at night.
