Participants of the Brunei and Southeast Asia Social Impact Convention, BASIC 2019 are hoped to continue to move forwards for the betterment of society. The Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports voiced the matter at the convention's Closing Ceremony last night.
Pengiran Mohammad Amirrizal bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud said the convention is the first stepping stone towards making big differences and it all starts with a small action to see a huge impact in the future. According to him the outcome depends on whether they will work for it.
BASIC 2019 jointly organised by Perspective Insan Academy and EICO Enterprise aimed to support and encourage organisations that empower communities and innovate for a better world. The participants also attended a forum, made visits, engage in breakout sessions and build networks throughout the 3 day convention. Also present was Yang Berhormat Awang Iswandy bin Ahmad, member of the Legislative Council who is also the Co-Chairman of BASIC 2019.
