1,357 New Cases, 5,170 Cases Recovered

11 COVID-19 cases are in Category 4, 7 cases are in Category 5, while one case has passed away. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy stated the matter at a Media Conference on the Latest COVID-19 Situation yesterday afternoon at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.

The total number of new cases continue to show a decline in which, a total of 1,357 new cases have been reported, bringing the total number to 121,957 cases. Of the new cases, 1,165 were from ART test results that was uploaded to the BruHealth application, whereas 192 were from 1,870 RT-PCR laboratory tests performed in the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 5,170 cases have recovered, bringing the total number of recovered cases in Brunei Darussalam to 105,218 cases and the total active cases are 16,561 cases.

At present, the bed occupancy rate in isolation centres nationwide is 6.7 per cent where 213 active cases are placed in isolation centres and hospitals. A total of 16,348 positive cases are currently undergoing home self-isolation.
