1,006 New Cases, 1,923 Cases Recovered

9 COVID-19 cases are in Category 4, while 4 cases are in Category 5. Meanwhile, 2 cases have passed away and are not categorised as deaths due to COVID-19. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health informed the matter during the Media Conference on the Latest COVID-19 Situation held at Dewan Al-Afiah, Ministry of Health.

The Minister of Health added that 1,006 new cases were reported bringing the total cases to 128,306 cases. Of the new cases, 819 were ART test results that were uploaded to the BruHealth app while 187 were from 2,045 RT-PCR lab tests carried out within 24 hours.

Meanwhile, 1,923 cases have recovered bringing the total number of recovered cases to 117,061 cases while the total number of active cases was 11,046. The bed occupancy rate in isolation centers nationwide is 4.6 percent whereas 155 active cases are receiving treatment in isolation centers and hospitals, while 10,891 positive cases are currently undergoing home isolation. As of 22nd of March 2022, 60.2 percent of the country's total population have received three doses of the vaccine.
