1 Case Passed Away, 113 New Cases, 3 New Clusters

1 COVID-19 confirmed case has returned to the grace and mercy of Allah. The case was a 68-year-old man who suffered from several health problems and is not categorised as death due to the COVID-19 infection. Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Haji Awang Mohd Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health stated the matter during the Media Conference on the latest COVID-19 Situation. Joining the media conference at Dewan Al'Afiah, Ministry of Health was Yang Berhormat Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Dr. Haji Awang Abu Bakar bin Haji Apong, Minister of Home Affairs.

113 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed yesterday, bringing the total number of COVID-19 cases to 12,823. Three new clusters were detected that involved 27 cases. Three clusters have been closed, therefore the current total active clusters stand at 174. 173 cases have recovered bringing the total number of recovered cases in Brunei Darussalam to 10,448, with 2,291 cases remaining active

Meanwhile, in preparation for the implementation of the National Vaccination Programme for adolescents aged 12 to 17 years old, the Ministry of Health has reviewed the appointment dates of second dose administration for adults in all vaccination centres. The appointment dates of second dose administration for adults will be shifted automatically. Some of the appointments will be brought forward while the rest will be slightly delayed.
